after war, yeo-thomas important witness @ nuremberg war trials in identification of buchenwald officials. key prosecution witness @ buchenwald trial held @ dachau concentration camp between april , august 1947. @ trial, 31 members of buchenwald staff convicted of war crimes. surprise defence witness in war crimes trial of otto skorzeny, particularly on charge of skorzeny s use of american uniforms in infiltrating american lines. yeo-thomas testified , operatives wore german uniforms behind enemy lines while working soe.


he died @ age of 61 in paris apartment following massive haemorrhage. cremated in paris , subsequently repatriated interred in brookwood cemetery, surrey, grave can found in pine glade garden of remembrance. in march 2010 life commemorated english heritage blue plaque erected @ flat in queen court lived in guilford street, camden, central london.
