side effects

clarithromycin can lead prolonged qt interval. in patients long qt syndrome, cardiac disease, or patients taking other qt-prolonging medications, can increase risk life-threatening arrhythmias.

in 1 trial, use of short-term clarithromycin treatment correlated increased incidence of deaths classified sudden cardiac deaths in stable coronary heart disease patients not using statins. case reports suspect of causing liver disease.

clarithromycin has been known cause jaundice, cirrhosis, , kidney problems, including renal failure.

central nervous system
