when cobra later invades pit, g.i. joe s headquarters, airtight , barbecue fend off squad of laser vipers. 2 retreat when battle android troopers called play. later, airtight part of team of joes sent investigate cobra occupied town of millville.

in devil s due g.i. joe series, flash, beach head, tripwire , airtight become involved in fight against tyler wingfield, murderous militia leader. come conflict chuckles, undercover g.i. joe agent, had managed infiltrate wingfield s operation. 4 joes captured, , chuckles ordered kill one; no joe dies.

airtight appears in issue #26, , #36, of main devil s due series. airtight , other joes later seen fighting cobra forces in iran, during world war iii storyline.
