currently 4 different reference designs exist (ethernut 1, ethernut 2, ethernut 3 , ethernut 5) available ready use boards.


all reference designs share same set of interfaces:



ethernet connector
rs-232 ports
power connector
nearly i/o pins of microcontroller available on expansion port

the designs differ in used microcontroller (ethernut 1 & 2: 8-bit avr, ethernut 3 & 5: 32-bit arm) , available memory size.


since ethernut 3 board mmc slot available. ethernut 5 includes usb host , device interfaces.
