maximo feraren elected in 1956. initiated construction of new municipal building located @ present site. arrivals of many families other towns , provinces increased agricultural activities locally. extensive campaign payment of tax obligation gave municipality income through indefatigable works of assessor carlos mendoza , treasurer benjamin garcia. treas. garcia responsible construction of present public market through appeals in print media. mayor donated portion of own property site of bisay-an elementary school. roads asphalted , many other infrastructure projects initiated mayor feraren, until term of office ends in 1964.


melanio tuason jr. assumed office in 1964 tomas arcon vice mayor. initiated release of forest zones “alienable , disposable” danr office. proper utilization , conservation of marine resources within municipal fishing territory strictly enforced police chief vicente garachico jr. great benefit of subsistence fishermen.


in 1968, primitivo atayde , vicente roxas vice took oath of office. mayor initiated concrete fencing of town plaza. diligence in asking support funds higher agencies of provincial , national government resulted in installation of water system , sanduguan medical mission of town. during meeting other mayors on old boundary dispute, overzealous in emphasizing san teodoro claim on several territories. initiated other infrastructure projects in term. lost melanio tuason jr. in 1972 election.
