early career

born in tamworth, staffordshire, albrighton started career @ hometown club mile oak monarchs, before offered trial @ villa s local rivals west bromwich albion. rejected albion, subsequently signed villa @ age of eight.

2014–15 season

on 23 may 2014, albrighton joined leicester city on four-year contract, following return premier league first time in decade. made debut foxes on 23 august, replacing riyad mahrez final 22 minutes of 2–0 loss @ chelsea. following 29 april, in reverse fixture @ king power stadium, scored first leicester goal, putting leicester ahead before half time in eventual 3–1 loss. albrighton totalled 18 league appearances in first season @ new club, adding second goal in last match of season, 5–1 win against queens park rangers on 24 may. albrighton struggled break first team squad @ start of season, nearer end of year used wing-back manager nigel pearson in new formation brought leicester success. played instrumental role in helping complete leicester s great escape team won 7 out of last 9 matches finish 14th.
