situated perpendicular north wing galerie. length of 30 meters , lit 5 windows on north , 11 windows on south, galerie largest room of grand trianon , placement serves northern protective barrier upper garden.


constructed west of galerie , running perpendicularly north wing known trianon-sous-bois. in part of house louis xiv provided apartments members of family. in area east of trianon-sous-bois , north of galerie marshy area jules hardouin-mansart converted jardin des sources. reminiscent of bosquet des sources in garden of versailles, area featured rivulets , islets set in wooded setting.
