in may 2014, traveled los angeles work on third studio album damon sharpe, lauren christy, andre merritt , other songwriters. album, titled , released in spain , latin america in november 2014, collection of broken beats, throwback funk vibes, futuristic beats , organic arrangements. special edition of album followed in june 2015, featuring guest appearances dvicio, critika & saik , lerica. peaked @ number 1 in mexico , spain , certified platinum promusicae.


in september 2014, released first single girls (la la la) , song written lauren christy, jacobo calderón , mateo himself, peaked @ number 9 on spain s singles chart , topped radio charts in brazil. music video song chosen best spanish music video of 2014 on vevo platform. album included singles todo terminó , heartbreak featuring dvicio s vocalist andrés ceballos.


to promote am, embarked on tour colombia, chile, brazil, argentina, dominican republic , mexico. in last country, mateo performed carlos rivera @ teatro metropólitan , mexican boyband cd9 @ mexico city arena. concert tour began in december 2014 in barcelona , ended after 9 months , 40 shows, including big concert @ sports palace, in madrid. held first solo concerts in mexico city, @ plaza condesa, , peru, , second sold-out concert @ legendary luna park arena, in buenos aires.


he appeared special guest in alejandro sanz s concert @ sports palace in málaga. mateo performed @ tve s new year s eve show in duet spanish pop star malu.


mateo featured in lodovica comello single sin usar palabras , album mariposa. collaborated cd9 on single para siempre . wrote eres ese milagro , recordando el beso spanish trio lérica.


he composed , interpreted soundtrack of animated series invizimals, produced brb international, , based on playstation video game.


in november 2014, mateo s first biography, i.am. published montena, editorial part of penguin random house.


in january 2015 received premio la identidad isleña (islander identity prize), awarded city hall of san fernando, cádiz, birthplace.
