Format 2015 World Cup (snooker)

the 2015 world cup consisted of 24 national teams, 2 players competing each side, , initial round divided entrants 4 pools of 6 sides apiece. during group stage, every national team played best-of-five match against each of other sides in pool. 3 victories required secure head-to-head team win, 5 individual contests needed played, similar davis cup , fed cup formats in professional tennis. matches scheduled include 2 singles contests, doubles encounter, , 2 reverse singles showdowns. top 2 teams each bracket advanced knockout stages.


during quarter-finals, semi-finals, , championship final, remaining national sides paired off head-to-head knockout bracket. format these head-to-head matches sudden death best-of-seven competition, similar professional sporting events baseball s world series , basketball s nba finals, contest coming end 1 team accumulated 4 individual victories. these encounters scheduled 2 singles showdowns, doubles match, 2 reverse singles contests, doubles encounter, , winner-take-all singles showdown if necessary. side won final named champions.
