kaneland competes in northern illinois big 12 conference , illinois high school association. have total of ten illinois high school state championships, in football (1997, 1998), boys track , field (1975, 1977), girls track , field (1987, 1988, 2016), boys cross country (1987), girls basketball (1982), , baseball (2011).


kaneland has gone playoffs football 3 times in past 3 school years. 3 years team went undefeated in regular season, obtaining 9-0 record.
