the giants called susac major league club late on july 25, 2014, replace backup catcher héctor sánchez after sánchez showed concussion symptoms. susac flew san francisco next morning , played first mlb game evening vs. los angeles dodgers, grounding out third base in single at-bat against clayton kershaw shut out giants day. susac got first major league hit, single, on july 30, 2014, , first major-league home run (a two-run homer) @ wrigley field against chicago cubs pitcher edwin jackson on august 20, 2014.

in 2015, susac giants prospect in baseball america s top 100 list. however, set in spring training tooth infection , wrist injury , subsequently started season sacramento river cats of pcl. susac called giants on april 18 when jake peavy went on disabled list. on june 27, susac hit bases-loaded double drove in 3 runs , helped giants come behind defeat colorado rockies 7–5. in late june, susac named giants regular catcher team dealt outfield injuries pushed buster posey first base , brandon belt left field.


on july 18, susac sprained right thumb while sliding third base , placed on 15-day disabled list. susac activated on august 17, shut down season on september 5 due lingering effects wrist sprain suffered in spring training. underwent surgery on wrist remove bone fragments , address inflammation. in 2015, susac appeared in 52 games, batting .218/.297/.368 3 home runs , 14 rbis.


2016

during spring training, susac set sore right wrist , optioned triple-a sacramento start season. susac had 36 rbis in 58 games sacramento before being traded along giants top minor league prospect , 2015 first round draft pick pitcher phil bickford milwaukee brewers relief pitcher smith on august 1, 2016.
