in 1944 british pathé newsreel, titled fund raising roosevelt, ball featured prominently among several stage , film stars @ events in support of president franklin d. roosevelt s fundraising campaign march of dimes. stated in 1952 presidential election, voted republican dwight eisenhower.


on september 4, 1953, ball met privately huac investigator william a. wheeler in hollywood , gave him sealed testimony. stated had registered vote communist or intended vote communist party ticket in 1936 @ socialist grandfather s insistence. stated @ no time intended vote communist.



ball stated has never been member of communist party knowledge ... [she] did not know whether or not meetings ever held @ home @ 1344 north ogden drive; stated...
