the alexander mackenzie high school has regional arts program includes drama. students take 4 years of drama classes , taught artists , professionals have been in film or stage industry. guest speakers brought in workshops, such acting film , stage combat. students given opportunities expand portfolios through class assignments, local festivals such sears drama festival, , exposure new forms of stage , film.


music

the alexander mackenzie high school music department offers courses in instrumental band, strings, vocal music, classical guitar, piano, , musical theatre. approximately 30% of students @ amhs involved in music program. senior or symphonic band decorated , consistently attains gold or platinum in competitions. however, music program leads many other ensembles both singers , students playing instruments, such concert band, intermediate band, jazz band, man choir, women s choir, chamber choir, concert choir (mackenzie singers), jazz choir, , many more. there many talented students among these ensembles , in music program.
