annihilation

in annihilation, megatron attempts reclaim leadership of decepticons, defeated starscream , devastator prime attempts rally autobots. megatron walks out of decepticons band of devoted followers ally autobots against keepers (who possess many of autobots , decepticons). defeat them, megatron claims favor helping autobots - become next matrix bearer.

fusion

in fusion, prime gives megatron matrix, unwilling break word of honor, possessed autobots , decepticons return normal. however, keepers not yet defeated , plan return earth via warpgate military tries once more destroy transformers. in end, keepers defeated when megatron s reprogrammed omega sentinel, turned exposure matrix, sacrifices , devastator close gate.
