semester system

in 2004, uet peshawar moved annual system of examination semester system. system brought vice chancellor, syed imtiaz hussain gillani. there 2 semesters in academic year – fall , spring. each semester consists of 18 weeks of teaching , 2 exams- mid term , final term. mid term carries 25% , final term carries 50% of total in subject offered in semester. rest of 25% awarded on basis of class participation, assignments , quizzes. fall semester starts around september–october, whereas spring semester starts around february.


tenure track system

in 2006, uet peshawar introduced tenure track system performance-based pay system.


selection procedure

uet conducts etea test (with of private test evaluation agency) selection procedure each year. in 2016, 15000 candidates appeared test.
