the planting diverse, coffee plantations occupy of cultivated area. there in city more 30 million coffee trees planted in area of 24 thousand hectares, being largest national producer. 75% of coffee production marketed cooperativa dos cafeicultores da zona de três pontas(cocatrel). in city planted corn, beans , vegetables, among others. in 2010, 29808 tons of coffee harvested (about 1% of national production), average yield 1440 kg/ha, total amount of r$157 982 000. in comparation 2009, total production dropped 1.8%.
