the dynasty s founder, sultan quli qutb-ul-mulk, migrated delhi uncle, allah-quli, of relatives , friends in beginning of 16th century. later migrated south, deccan , served bahmani sultan, mohammad shah. conquered golconda, after disintegration of bahmani kingdom 5 deccan sultanates. after, declared independence bahmani sultanate, took title qutub shah, , established qutb shahi dynasty of golconda. later assassinated in 1543 son, jamsheed, assumed sultanate. later died in 1550 cancer. jamsheed s young son reigned year, @ time nobility brought , installed ibrahim quli sultan. during reign of muhammad quli qutb shah, relations between hindus , muslims strengthened, point of hindus resuming religious festivals diwali , holi. hindus rose prominence in qutb shahi state, important example being ministers madanna , akkanna.


golconda, , construction of char minar, later hyderabad served capitals of sultanate, , both cities embellished qutb shahi sultans. dynasty ruled golconda 171 years, until mughal emperor aurangzeb conquered deccan in 1687.
