yushchenko s approval rating stood @ 7% of october, 2009 according fom-ukraine polling results.


in 2002, yushchenko became leader of our ukraine (nasha ukrayina) political coalition, received plurality of seats in year s parliamentary election. however, number of seats won not majority, , efforts form majority coalition other opposition parties failed. since then, yushchenko has remained leader , public face of our ukraine parliamentary faction.


in 2001, both yushchenko , yulia tymoshenko broached @ creating broad opposition bloc against incumbent president leonid kuchma in order win ukrainian presidential election 2004.


in late 2002 yushchenko, oleksandr moroz (socialist party of ukraine), petro symonenko (communist party of ukraine) , yulia tymoshenko (yulia tymoshenko bloc) issued joint statement concerning beginning of state revolution in ukraine . though communists stepped out of alliance , though symonenko opposed having 1 single candidate alliance in 2004 presidential election, other 3 parties remained allies until july 2006.


on july 2, 2004 our ukraine , yulia tymoshenko bloc established force of people, coalition aimed stop destructive process has, result of incumbent authorities, become characteristic ukraine , @ time president kuchma , prime minister viktor yanukovych incumbent authorities in ukraine. pact included promise viktor yushchenko nominate tymoshenko prime minister if yushchenko win october 2004 presidential election.


yushchenko regarded moderate political leader of anti-kuchma opposition, since other opposition parties less influential , had fewer seats in parliament. since becoming president of ukraine in 2005, has been honorary leader of our ukraine party.


from 2001 2004, rankings in popularity polls higher of president leonid kuchma. in later public opinion polls, though, support plummeted high of 52% following election in 2004 below 4%.


however, in parliamentary elections of march 2006, our ukraine party, led prime minister yuriy yekhanurov, received less 14% of national vote, taking third place behind party of regions , yulia tymoshenko bloc. in poll sofia social research centre between july 27 , august 7, 2007 more 52% of polled said distrusted yushchenko.
