the permanent painting collection housed in can framis museum of contemporary painting. has 700 pieces between ones exhibited , ones kept in warehouse. museum displays more 250 paintings dating 1960s onwards wide range of artists born or living in catalonia selected private collector , owner antoni vila casas.


permanent collection

the permanent exhibition changes periodically creating new conceptual outlook in order show new paintings foundation purchases every year. permanent exhibition consists of more 250 works different pictorial movements (from abstract art , informalism hyperrealism) created more 100 different artists.

the temporary exhibitions held in espai aø has around 1,500 m (16,000 sq ft), , divided in 3 different cycles.

2. prizes: fundació vila casas organizes annual open prize competition artists. competition held in different discipline - painting, photography or sculpture - each year. decision of jury announced on opening day of exhibition of selected works. winner receives prize money , opportunity mount solo exhibition following year @ can framis.
