on may 6, 2008, wtbz became wvus in first step becoming new station . owner appalachian radio filed application move station 1260 1190 , increase station s daytime power 4,500 watts.


on august 8, 2008, wvus officially began broadcasting on 1190.


it announced on november 6, 2009 owner steven tocco attempting sell station @ asking price of $59,000. tocco cited low ad revenue , high operating costs reasons sale, , gave shutdown date of december 31. on december 23, 2009, wvus sold light of life community, inc. $62,550.


on march 8, 2010, wvus dropped adult standards format catholic religious programming.
