synopsis

in 1985 audio , book adventure satellite of doom megatron , soundwave kidnap thousands of humans , force them bury tons of coal in desert. sealing humans in cave set off high temperature explosives turn carbon in coal , humans gigantic diamond lens plan launch space. bumblebee discovers decepticon launching site , optimus prime sends skyfire take out, fails. megatron launches lens space , uses focus sun s rays , melt shale in rocky mountains oil. optimus again sends skyfire stop lens , prowl instructs ratchet build fuel tanks autobot jet s trip space. despite best efforts diamond unharmed , skyfire burns on reentry of earth s atmosphere. boiling oil threatens kill millions on west coast, autobots build mile long mirror reflect lens rays on it, shattering it. autobots launch assault on megatron s base, decepticon leader , soundwave escape in drilling mole machine.
