such pipemill may not perform intended if body of loop includes commands, such cat , ssh, read stdin: on loop s first iteration, such program (let s call drain) read remaining output command, , loop terminate (with results depending on specifics of drain). there couple of possible ways avoid behavior. first, drains support option disable reading stdin (e.g. ssh -n). alternatively, if drain not need read input stdin useful, can given < /dev/null input.
