adelaide rams

after standout performances adelaide rams under-19 team in 1997, rams first grade coach rod reddy selected williamson make first grade début 18-year-old rams in surprise 16-12 win on auckland warriors @ ericsson stadium in auckland on 21 march 1997 during round 4 of 1997 super league season. playing in centres kicked late goal seal rams first ever away win. go on rams top point scorer in 1997 70 points 12 games (3 tries, 29/37 goals). backed further 17 games , 44 points in 1998 nrl season. rams folded after 1998 season, williamson remains second highest point scorer club 114 points, 2 behind graham appo. 45 goals record number kicked ill-fated club.


despite being rams second highest point scorer, williamson never led team in points in either season, kurt wrigley scoring 81 points in 1997 , graham appo scoring 116 points in 1998.


canberra raiders

after rams folded before start of 1999 nrl season, williamson signed mal meninga coached canberra raiders (the rams had season launch in february, owners news limited pulled plug on club days later part of peace deal between super league , australian rugby league resulted in formation of nrl). first season raiders successful in 14-year career. played in 20 games, on wing or @ centre , scored career high 174 points 6 tries , 74 goals after taking on goal kicking duties david furner.


williamson play 41 games in 3 seasons canberra, scoring 8 tries , kicking 113 goals. injury riddled final season @ club in 2001 saw him play in 2 games, both bench. following season williamson left canberra , join new , short lived club, northern eagles.


northern eagles

luke williamson played 16 games northern eagles in 2002 nrl season. after playing first 3 games bench, play rest of season @ five-eighth , again club s top scorer 98 points 3 tries , 45 goals.


manly warringah sea eagles

the northern eagles, had been formed result of unhappy merger between long time rivals manly-warringah sea eagles , north sydney bears, folded after 2002 season licence falling more financially stable sea eagles. williamson signed manly spend rest of playing career in australia. after playing in backs of career, williamson took on role of lock forward following retirement of ben kennedy @ end of 2006 season. played in manly s 2007 nrl grand final defeat melbourne storm, missed out on 2008 nrl grand final centenary grand final against melbourne storm due injury. manly defeated storm record grand final score of 40-0.

harlequins

he joined london based super league side harlequins in 2009 , went on play in 42 games club on 2 seasons before retiring rugby league after 2010 super league season.
