in various forms, miss puerto rico beauty pageant has been held every year since 1950s. winner of contest represents puerto rico @ miss universe pageant each year.

the miss puerto rico beauty pageant has turned technology reach more people through use of podcasting. starting 2006 pageant, miss puerto rico universe became first pageant of miss universe franchise have podcast. in this, wilton vargas, international multi-media , technology personality, interviews contestants goal of helping people know them better can participate in voting process using cell phones. podcast published section in technology news , information website tecnetico.com , various podcast directories, including itunes.
