cameron began acting @ age nine, , first job in advertisement breakfast cereal. first starring role @ age 13, in television series 2 marriages. @ age, appeared in several television shows , films. became famous in 1985 after being cast mike seaver in abc television sitcom growing pains. in series, mike have girlfriend named kate macdonald, played chelsea noble, cameron s future wife. cameron subsequently became teen heartthrob in late 1980s, while appearing on covers of several teen magazines, including tiger beat, teen beat, 16 , others. @ time, making $50,000 week. in 60-second pepsi commercial during super bowl xxiv.


cameron guest-starred in 1988 full house episode 1 of guys , in played cousin of d.j. tanner, role played cameron s sister, candace.


cameron went on star in many films, including 1987 s father son (a body-switch comedy dudley moore), box office success. next theatrical film, 1989 s listen me, performed poorly @ box office. when growing pains ended in 1992, cameron went on star in wb sitcom kirk premiered in 1995 , ended 2 years later. in kirk, cameron played kirk hartman, 24-year-old has raise siblings. cameron , noble worked on kirk.
