Gameplay Ghosthunter



basic gameplay in ghosthunter. jones health on bottom left; ammo on bottom right , grenade icon on top left.


ghosthunter third-person shooter in players control protagonist, lazarus jones, left analog stick. right analog stick used move camera, or adjust aim when in combat or first-person mode. when in default third-person mode, jones has full range of movement, cannot shoot. so, player must enter combat mode, places crosshair on screen. when in combat mode, jones lateral motion changes strafing, , moves slower. jones can shoot whilst in first-person mode, although unable move. game features 2 types of ammo; normal ammo handgun , shotgun, , ghost energy other weapons. ghost energy can collected in form of orbs found throughout game , dropped defeated enemies.


when player encounters ghost, must first shoot weaken point can captured. capturing ghost accomplishing hitting capture grenade. if player uses grenade before weakening ghost sufficiently capture, grenade attaches enemy limited time, , health meter appears. if jones depletes health meter whilst grenade still attached, monster captured. grenade can used pick ghost energy , health orbs player cannot physically reach.


as controlling jones, player can control astral, spirit jones can call in specific locations. astral levitates rather walks, , has no offensive capabilities. instead, player has access different forms , such revenant form allows walk , interact switches, charming form allows trick ghosts following her, spectral form allows warp through walls , floors @ special warp points, poltergeist form allows throw objects, , possession form allows control ghosts.


ghosthunter 1 of relatively rare examples of game featuring false ending; jones killed, apparently good, , game returns title screen, inviting player start over. however, within moments, game begins again, player in control of character.
