yushchenko again tried dissolve parliament on october 9, 2008 announcing parliamentary elections held on december 7. yushchenko s decree suspended , has since lapsed. yushchenko in defense of actions said, convinced democratic coalition ruined 1 thing alone—human ambition. ambition of 1 person. political groups including members of own our ukraine party contested election decree , politicians vowed challenge in courts.

in december 2008, following room revolt members of our ukraine-peoples self defense party revised coalition formed between members of our ukraine–people s self-defense bloc (ou-psd), bloc of yulia tymoshenko (byut), , lytvyn bloc (lb), increasing size of governing coalition additional 20 members. yushchenko in responding journalists questions claimed fact so-called coalition formed on basis of political corruption, coalition able work if communist party join it. speaking such type of coalition, more shameful. victor yushchenko stated yulia tymoshenko s desire keep job prime minister main motive creating coalition , wanted expel ou-psd lawmakers supported creation of coalition list of members of parliament.
yushchenko claimed (march 19, 2009) conflicts tymoshenko not due personal differences, incompleteness of constitutional reforms of 2004.
on july 23, 2009, under terms of ukraine s constitution president cannot dismiss parliament within 6 months expiration of five-year term of authority, ends on january 23, 2010.
