administration

commanded pam mckay (https://www.firstsheriff.com/command.asp) administration division composed of civilian personnel. sections , personnel fall under direction of administrative division commander include:

patrol

the patrol division responsible general law enforcement duties in county, including first responder motor vehicle accidents, 9-1-1 calls , traffic enforcement. patrol commanded captain eric sweeney.


corrections

the corrections division responsible security, custody , control of adults sentenced or awaiting trial in detention center. division has both full-time correctional officers , civilian support staff. division commanded captain michael merican.


bci

bci joint venture between sheriff s office , maryland state police. bci composed of detectives , crime scene investigators, , responsible investigating major crimes. bci commanded captain terry black.
