ibrahim lodi (r. 1517–1526), youngest son of sikandar, last lodi sultan of delhi. had qualities of excellent warrior, rash , impolitic in decisions , actions. attempt @ royal absolutism premature , policy of sheer repression unaccompanied measures strengthen administration , increase military resources sure prove failure. ibrahim faced numerous rebellions , kept out opposition decade. engaged in warfare afghans , mughal empire of reign , died trying keep lodi dynasty annihilation. ibrahim defeated in 1526 @ battle of panipat. marked end of lodi dynasty , rise of mughal empire in india led babur (r. 1526–1530).
